About Us

The Bridge is a manual for curious women of all ages.

The Bridge was created to be the print equivalent of a long, bottomless mimosa brunch with a dozen fascinating women of all ages. We “meet” twice a year to discuss things that women actually tend to talk about; sex, menopause, telling your gyno that you’ve been sleeping around, addiction, how to make vegetables less disgusting, and your new skincare routine.

I had the privilege of growing up in a full-blown matriarchy. Through eavesdropping on conversations between my mom, aunts, sister, and cousins, I have personally gained the knowledge of years of invaluable life experience. I recognized that I was getting incredible advice from the women in my family because they actually have my best interest at heart. There’s a level of love, kindness, and realness in their wisdom. They are the ones who get real with me about how to deal with the three luscious black hairs that grow out of my chin. This magazine was inspired by the intergenerational relationships between these women. My goal is to replicate that exchange of knowledge here, so it can be available for women who aren’t so lucky to live in a matriarchy.

At The Bridge, we believe that every woman has something to say, even those who don’t consider themselves writers. We provide the space for women to share their perspectives, the same way the comfy couch at your grandma’s house facilitates amazing post-Thanksgiving discussions about the first time you got your period. We know women have wisdom, all we do is offer a platform to share it.

Aubrey Fink

Editor, Writer, & Designer

Hello and welcome to my passion project. I’ve been developing this issue for a year now; stalking my friends and family, begging them to contribute, and filling the Notes app on my phone with article ideas. I am a graphic design student at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. I love 30 Rock, my two cats (a sweet one and an evil one), and peanut butter M&Ms. I am an avid crocheter and haven’t ever taken a group fitness class and enjoyed it.

25% of all proceeds going to Girls Inc., a national non profit organization inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold through a combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment and research-based programming equips girls to lead fulfilling and productive lives, break the cycle of poverty, and become role models in their community.

Supported, in part, by a grant from the Corzo Center Innovation Lab and TD Bank.

Our Fabulous Print Partners
